Easter Island Statue Project
The Mana Gallery hosts the field office of the Easter Island Statue Project (EISP, www.eisp.org). Visitors and potential project volunteers are welcome to visit. The office is situated one level above the gallery. Office staff are occasionally available to chat. The Easter Island Statue Preservation Foundation was created to support our archaeological project. A portion of the sales profit generated by Mana Gallery sales is donated yearly to EISP.
EISP is an archaeological survey that has produced the world’s largest research archive of detailed information describing 887 moai. All moai are subjected to environmental damage. We cooperate and work closely with all Chilean national agencies and the Rapanui community in our shared goal of preserving and protecting the moai.
